possible hans jensen candlesticks?

Post by azelismia »

HI I was directed over here by the eBay antiques board. I have a pair of candle sticks that might have a hans jensen mark. Can anyone confirm? they have the buttery feel of sterling but I guess that doesn't necessarily make them so.

Hello.

Agree the first two marks were used by Hans Jensen
Believe the firm did produce solid silver wares too.
However, since there are no standard or control marks, I think your candlesticks are silverplated.

The third mark is used by Hejl & Company of Denmark.
Early in their history they were manufacturers, but today I think they are mostly distributers/wholesalers.
They are still in business. You can find their site on the internet.
