Athough Scheffler doesn't show this exact mark in Goldschmiede Mittel- und Nordost-Deutschlands, I believe it's Rostock. He does show a griffin mark with the letter "R" city mark used in 19th century Rostock, and furthermore gives Rostock makers #83 F. W. Düsing (Master 1854; still working 1862), and #85 Friedrich Heinrich Hartwig Paul Kerfack (1832-1903; Master 1858).
Hi Theoderich and Blakstone!
Even If I cant see the letter "R", I believe it is the Rostock mark (Scheffler 625), but I think that the Kerfack mark is the one used by the father of #85 Friedrich Heinrich Hartwig Paul Kerfack (1832-1903; Master 1858); #74 Friedrich Heinrich Kerfack (1795-1867; Master 1823).
It is described by Scheffler as "cursiv, in abgerundetem Rechteck" (686).
Best regards/JAKJO
