can anyone help with the hallmarks on this snuff box, I bought at auction and they mentioned a label inside saying cannon gate 1780-1790

could it be a Canongate provincial silversmith?

seems I am in wrong section as I have found another similar hallmark for Maltese Silver

Hi David,

Those marks in the original Jackson's have caused a lot of confusion over the years, but no, you are in the right section.
