Help ID makers mark or any other info

Post by buncowinner »

I have been trying to some information about this necklace I bought. Any ideas on maker, vintage, type of stone or anything else? Thanks for any insight!

It has what looks to be an "S" with short vertical line as the makers mark on back of pendant. Looked on internet and couldn't find it. Pendant necklace is sterling silver (marked 925 on clasp and back of pendant) and has a goldish center stone accented by pearls. Fairly thick silver back and total weight is 21 grams.

P.S. I couldn't figure out how to attach and image. Admin edit

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

That looks like a Shube Inc. mark. They were founded at Albuquerque in 1972 and are now styled Dakota West Design, Inc.

There is always a lot of debate regarding the origin of the mark, if you put 'Shube' into the search box (top RH of your screen) you'll find several posts about it.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion to search for Shube on this forum. I had thought Shube but this "S" seemed a bit different and more rounded. I did buy it from a seller in Albuquerque so that fits.
