Any help with date and maker marks please?

Hi I hope I've done the photos right, quite difficult to get a good close up.
I have this silver cross on a belcher which is hall marked.
I believe it's Birmingham and sterling silver, however I cannot make out the makers mark or date.
It's been in out family for a while and forgot about until my daughter started asking after it.
Many thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Yes it's a Birmingham hallmark with the anchor, 925 fineness mark and the convention mark which has been in use since about 1972 and which allows the fineness to be recognised across those countries, mainly European, which are party to the International Convention on Hallmarks. There is no date mark as this is regrettably no longer compulsory. I can't work out what the first letter of the sponsor's mark is as your picture has been taken from far too close. When photographing hallmarks and fine detail it is always advisable to back off far enough to get it in focus. A small in-focus picture is much better than a large blurred close-up. In any case we will probably not be able to identify the mark as there are no published references for modern sponsors' marks.
