The mark looks OK. The style of the piece is typical of what they produced. All I can say from pictures. The M would only be on pieces made during Moore's tenure.

thank you for your input! any ideas on why the 7 in the pattern number is larger than all the others? I feel cofident enough now to pay for an apprasal, but I didn't want to waste time and money on something that couldn't pass a forum or 2. This piece was found in the trash with a bunch of wedding photos, in a box filled with family/kids memories type stuff as well as a 1936(as far as I have been able to tell from the target stamp) Reed Barton serving dishes and a few Onida items. The tiffany was the best part, thanks for the help!
