S is rather fat. Shield has sharp points. O in Coin mis-stamped. L. M. Sigler mentioned in Jewelers Circular in 1883 as from Cleveland.

The retailer is probably Lucius Menville Sigler of Cleveland, Ohio. You may need to post a close up of the trademark for further identification; athough, I do think the mark is familiar.

Rainwater showed the S-in-pointy-shield as the center mark of Sears Roebuck items done in plate. While Sears did deal with (sterling) silver in their catalogues, I didn't think this object would fit with them as a source (but anything's possible). Will see if I can improve the shot of the mark.
