Sterling Bolo Pictoral Hallmark Only Who is it?

Post by babclasic »

This turquoise bolo tie was acquired in the U.S. Southwest probably in the 70s. The only visible mark on the sterling (tested) is a figural head with "headdress". The tie clip itself is American with a John Day Arizona patent bolo clip (3675277). The stone is a Royston mine stone my best guess so probably from Arizona or nearby.

The mystery is the mark. There are no typical Native American initials or name. An the hallmark does not appear in the standard native American web references that I could find. Perhaps this is made in Central American rather than the U.S.

Attached are 2 photos of front and back. Please post your thoughts.
