Good evening
I bought this with a lot of other pins and badges. Think it is a fob medal. Seems to be made out of gold. It does not have any hallmarks but maybe someone knows the coat of arms.

Gold Fob medal
Re: Gold Fob medal
Hi Jannie,
The Arms are that of FINCHAM of the counties of Cambridge and Norfolk:
Argent, three bars sable, a bend ermine. Crest: a hind's head erased or, in the mouth a branch of holly vert, fructed gules.
Motto: Arbore latet opaca (Hidden by a shady tree).

Re: Gold Fob medal
Thank you
Are there any ways to determine how old this fob medal may be without any hallmarks? When was it common practice to mark fob medals with family arms? I have a lot of hallmarked silver fob medals given out as prizes, this is my only gold one with family arms on it.

Re: Gold Fob medal
I could just imagine such a piece on one end of a chain, and a fine gold watch on the other, being given as a 21st birthday present or the like.
