Indentures were signed in 1827 for Edward John, son of George Gairdner, cabinet maker and upholsterer of 80 Tottenham Court Road, London to be apprentice to Thomas Gairdner, undertaker, Citizen and Goldsmith of St Martin’s Chapel, Camden.
Grimwade’s note that William Galloway followed Gairdner in occupying 23 Maiden Lane in 1823 can now be expanded to a new address and occupation for the latter.
