Good afternoon, the owner says that it is a candlestick 18st, weighing 1.8kg. 1. Tell me please, or is it so? why such an long carving? 2. I see the Lemberg contributory marks of the early 19th century? why two?
Dear AG2012. This is a typical altar candlestick from the middle of the 18. century. I see numerous pieces from Austria-Hungary and Germany. But I don't see any marks, that suggest fineness. Is it possible to you confused the tax mark with a delicacy mark, or is there a sign on the pictures that I can't see? Best regards! Krisztián
