First I thought it might be a Schwertfeger-Hallmark from 17?2, but looking at it closer reads like "LINZ". Was there such a hallmark used in Linz in the 18. century? If so - is there a way to date the piece?
The small "crescent moon + G"-hallmark is for Linz, 1806/7.
The maker's mark looks like L./P.G.

Looking at it again Vienna 1742 seems more likely. Does the first volume of Neuwirth contain Schwertfeger (hilt maker's marks)?

Hello!
I didn't see this hallmark already, but it seems to me LINZ.
Very interesting.

Depending on the viewing angle it is either clearly 1742 or as clearly LINZ.
There are three similar (later + quite worn) marks in Neuwirth, Wiener Silber 1781-1866, p 112. Sadly she only writes a few lines about them, calling them "Schwertfeger-Punzen". They also consist of the "13" in the circle, the year around it, and the Erzherzogshut (?archducal hat?) on top. There is no mention if they where used exclusively in Vienna or all over the empire, also there is no time frame.
