A receipted bill issued by the Hull silversmith, Anthony Jones:

The duel receipt, issued to a Mrs Rennard (?) on the 20th June 1800 for one ? ? hoop at £1-7s-0d, and to a Mrs Hutton on the 27th June 1800, for the gilding of a pair of oval cup salts and ladles at 12s-0d.

The total of the bill was £1-19s-0d and was settled on the 15th August 1800.

Anthony Jones was recorded in The First Hull Directory that was published in 1791, as a Silversmith located at Marketplace, Hull.

He is perhaps to be identified with the Hull Silversmith, Josiah Jones, whose son, Robert Jones, was apprenticed to the York silversmiths, Hampston & Prince on the 22nd January 1782 for 7 years for a consideration of £100. See: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 65&p=36180
