20th March, 1917.

C.M.Mainwaring, Esq.
1, Sloane Gardens, SW

Sir, We beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter 17th ins. with acknowledgement of cheque £147.10s. for which we are much obliged.

We note you will call shortly to inspect the new sauce-boats, and meanwhile have prepared a statement of accounts which will be ready for you when you call.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times,

We remain, Sir,

Your obedient Servants,

GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS CO. LTD.,

The letterhead still makes note of the absorption of The Goldsmiths' Alliance Ltd., late A.B. Savory & Sons, Cornhill, that occurred in 1893.
