9 December 1761 Stephen Rongent native of Bourges, France Silver Smith will proved at London. In his will he explains that he was the son of James Rongent of Bourges and Barbe Esgros. His wife was Susannah daughter of John Ristan. As far as I can tell he had a couple of residences in Dover, one at Saint James Street in the Parish of Saint James and one over against Mr Saitou (sp?) near the Bridge of Dover.
