13 March 1815 William Portal Castle Street Holborn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman will proved at London. The year that goes with this will coincides with the year of death that Grimwade gives for this gentleman. There is mention of a William Nethersole in the will. I believe Abraham Portal's wife Elizabeth was a widow at the time of their marriage and her surname then was Nethersole. William Nethersole seems likely to have been her son.
