Will of John Russel, Gold Worker of St Martin's in the Fields proved at PCC (TNA/PROB 11/1016/261 - the National Archives record him as Gold Maker instead of Gold Worker ).
Silverly has kindly examined a copy of the will and informs us that, along with the legal problems Grimwade notes about this gentleman, Russel also states in his will that he was not successful in business.
