7 August 1782 Indenture witnessed that John son of John Lemay of Westham in the County of Essex Silversmith in consideration of the sum of five pounds from the Govenors of Christ Hospital paid to the master John Lemay Merchant Taylor of London for taking his said apprentice.

1783 Richard Beesley son of John Lemay...Old Street...Silver Buckle...apprenticed to John Lemay Merchant Taylor of London. (The writing on this document is very difficult to make out.)
