29 April 1736 Joseph Drake goldsmith of Saint James Clerkenwell paid apprentice indenture duty for William son of William Philips of Henley on Thames.

26 July 1737 Joseph Drake bucklemaker of Saint James Clerkenwell paid apprentice indenture duty for Thomas Pool.

8 November 1737 Joseph Drake goldsmith of Saint James Clerkenwell paid apprentice indenture duty for Criswell son of John Maddocks. Criswell may be the brother of William Maddocks (Grimwade p.588).

2 May 1738 Joseph son of Thomas Drake late of Walsol in Straffordshire fruiterer deceased to be made free by redemption in the company of glovers paying forty-six shillings and eight pence. Under new business "a Goldsmith."
