LOBJORT, Anthony (Grimwade p.281)

Post by MCB »

Grimwade lists a small worker from Pimlico by this name entering a mark at Goldsmiths’ Hall in 1792.
He may have been Anthony Lobjoit, a resident of Princes Row, near Hanover Square from 1791-1812, who as William Anthony Lobjoit aged about 68 years died in Turnham Green in 1819 and was buried at St Nicholas, Chiswick.
His Will, proved for probate in 1820, described him then as a cow keeper. His estate was valued at under £100 and left to Jane Dall his housekeeper of 24 years, a spinster and mother of four of his children.
