As Samuel Jarman of the Goldsmiths Company he paid Duty in 1767 for the apprentice indentures of William Herring.
The Will of Samuel Jarman silversmith late of St Martin’s in the Fields, London, proved for probate on 6th July 1774 may be relevant (National Archives reference PROB 11/999/190).

It is noteworthy that in this will after bequests and etc were accounted for, Samuel Laundy the elder of the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry Surgeon's Instrument Maker and Paul Pinard of New Street in the County of Middlesex Silver Smith were to receive the rest and remainder of Samuel Jerman's estate for the bringing up, maintaining and educating of Samuel Jerman's infant son Samuel until he reached the age of 21 years.
