He may have been Jeremiah the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Lister christened at St Andrew, Holborn in 1736.
He married Jane Emmott at St George, Bloomsbury in 1760; they were both from that parish.
He was free by redemption in the Goldsmiths’ Company in 1761 and entered a mark at Goldsmiths’ Hall in the same year as a case maker from Old Fish Street.
The christening records of their children showed they had changed their address to Fleet Street in 1763 and Purpool Lane, Holborn in 1765.
Their son Jeremiah in 1767 and daughter Elianor Emmott in 1769 were christened at St Sepulchre, Holborn.
Three more of their children were christened at St George the Martyr, Southwark from 1778-1781.
His son Jeremiah was made free by patrimony in the Goldsmiths Company in 1787-8.
No later information has been found for him.

Re: LISTER, Jeremiah (Grimwade p.304)
10 March 1761 Jeremiah son of Jeremiah Lister late of Noble Street watch case maker having obtained an order of the court the twenty-fifth of November past and having paid a fine of forty six shillings and eight pence admitted into the freedom of the city by redemption in the company of goldsmiths.
