LAUTIER, John (Grimwade p.283)

Post by MCB »

He married Ann the daughter of Lewis Pantin (Grimwade p.612, 761) at St Dunstan in the West in 1768; they were both from that parish. Gabriel Wirgman (Grimwade p.708) was a witness.
Two children of John Lewis Lautier and his wife Ann were christened at St Dunstan’s in 1771 and 1773 respectively. Their address was Fleet Street from where his mark as a small worker had been entered at Goldsmiths’ Hall in 1771. Christenings of two more of their children were recorded at St Clement Danes in 1774 and 1777.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Fleet Street until 1773 when a new tenant took over.
He appears again, for one year only, on a Land Tax assessment in 1781 for property in Great Shire Lane, near Fleet Street.
No further information has been found for him.
