DUNNAGE, Daniel (Grimwade p.292)

He was christened in 1762 at St Giles, Cripplegate, the son of Benjamin a ribbon weaver and his wife Mary.
Indentures were signed in 1779 for him to be the apprentice of Richard Redrick (Grimwade p.639, 735) of the Drapers’ Company and watch case maker of Aldermanbury. He was free in 1786, the year in which he entered a mark at Goldsmiths’ Hall as a case maker from 5 Little Moorfields.
No record has been found for him until his marriage to Elizabeth Parkes at St Giles in 1797; both were from that parish.
Their daughter Elizabeth was christened at St Paul, Covent Garden in 1807.
At some point he appears to have given up the watch case trade and moved to Cross Court, Drury Lane where he became a hatter. He was listed as such in the London Poll Books until 1822, the year of his death.
