CORNOCK, Edward (Grimwade p.473)

Post by MCB »

He married Elizabeth Horseley at St Anne & St Agnes church in 1710; he was from St John Zachary parish.
Their son Edward was christened at St Anne & St Agnes in 1712 and his burial also recorded there in the same year. Their son Christopher was christened at the same church in 1719. None of the records show an address.
Edmond Hickman (Grimwade p.545) of London in 1712 and Christopher Savage of Suffolk in 1724 signed to be his apprentices.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Gutter Lane from 1712-23 and from 1724 at Foster Lane when his neighbour was Richard Scarlett (Grimwade p.652) until 1734 when his neighbour was Jeremiah King (Grimwade p.571, 765).
His burial was registered at St Anne & St Agnes in August 1734, that of his wife at the same church in November of that year.
The Will of Edward Cornock, goldsmith late of Forster (sic) Lane, was proved for probate on 27th August 1734 (National Archives reference PROB 11/666/380).
