CONEN, Edward (Grimwade p.469)

Post by MCB »

He was christened the son of William and Susannah at St Mary, Whitechapel in 1693.

Edward Conen of Foster Lane married Elizabeth Hash of Enfield at St George the Martyr, Southwark in 1719.
Edward and Susannah Conen, presumably two more their children, were buried together at St Michael, Wood Street in 1733.
Katherine and Richard, further children of Edward and Elizabeth Conen were christened at St Botolph, Aldersgate in 1734 and 1737 respectively .
Richard, his son was apprenticed to Walter Brind (Grimwade p.449, 738) in 1752. The document indicates his father was alive at that date.

The Will of Edward Conen, goldsmith late of St Leonard, Shoreditch, was proved for probate on 4th October 1753 (National Archives reference PROB 11/804/256).
