Post by MCB »

The christenings of Sara and Urian, children of Urian and Sara Berrington, were recoded at St Bride’s, Fleet Street in 1688 and 1689.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Fetter Lane until 1710. He had entered a mark at Goldsmiths' Hall from that address in 1697.
Page 17 of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World lists him as Urian Berrington or Barrington apprenticed in 1677 and free of the Clockmakers Company from 1684-1734.
His son Urian was apprenticed in the Clockmakers Company in 1705.
The burial of Urian Barrington (sic) registered at St John the Baptist, Clerkenwell in 1739 without detail of age or address at death may relate to either the father or son.
