AVELINE, Daniel (Grimwade p.292)

He was christened the son of Daniel and Marie at Savoye de Springs and Des Grecs Huguwest Church, Westminster in 1709.
He was apprenticed to Stephen Goujion (Goujon at p.318 of Grimwade) of the Clockmakers Company in 1723 and free in 1731-32.
He entered a mark in 1731 at Goldsmiths’ Hall as a small worker from Blue Ball, Tower Street, Seven Dials.
As a watch case maker he signed a bond in 1732 to marry Lorey (Laure) Rissoan.
Indentures to be his apprentices were signed by John Ginot in 1732, John Roote in 1737, Edward Dixon and Valentine Rission both in 1748, Thomas Doorey in 1758 and William Peavey (Grimwade p.618) in 1761.
He was recorded at Denmark Street, St Giles in the Fields as a freeman of the Clockmakers Company in the 1768 Poll Book.
The Will of Daniel Aveline, watch case maker late of St Giles in the Fields, was granted probate on 22nd September 1772 (National Archives reference PROB 11/980/348).
