He paid Duty in 1771 for the apprentice indentures of Thomas Prime.
A daughter of Paul and Ann Wright was christened at St Mary Staining in 1774. The marriage record for Paul and Ann has not been traced.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Foster Lane from 1771-74 and in Shaftsbury Place, Aldersgate Street from 1782 -3
As a widower from St Botolph, Aldersgate he married Ann Warman of St John Zachary parish at St John, Hackney in 1790. The name Ann Wright occurs too often in the London records for a positive identification of the burial of his first wife.
The christening in 1791 at St Leonard, Shoreditch of Charles Edward Ebenezer Wright recorded his father as John. The register contains the note of an oath sworn at the Public Office in Ship Street, Shoreditch and signed on 30th April 1822 in a shaky hand by Paul Wright, late of Kingsland Road but now of Acton, correcting the mistake of name recorded as John and confirming he was the child’s father, an event probably not unreated to his son's application for freedom by patrimony (see below).
Another daughter was christened at the same church in 1793 when their address was Union Crescent.
Three more of their children were christened at St Mary, Islington between 1796 and 1800 and a further three at St John, Hackney between 1803 and 1809.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Kingsland Road, Islington from 1796-1810.
Charles Edward Ebenezer applied for freedom by patrimony in the Goldsmiths Company on 1st May 1822.
Paul Wright aged about 80 years was buried at St Mary, Acton in 1824. This would indicate he had been a resident of the Goldsmiths’ Almshouses in Acton.
