He paid Duty in 1773 and in 1780 as a silversmith from St Clement Danes, Strand for the apprentice indentures of Alex Ross and Vincent De Cler respectively.
The 1774 and 1780 London Poll Books listed him as a silversmith in Holywell Street, Strand.
Trade directories from 1785-91 listed him at the same address but as a textile mercer.
He paid Land Tax on unidentified property in Duchy Liberty of Strand from 1789-92. A new tenant occupied the property in 1793.
He was listed as living in Southampton Row in 1802.
He owned property in Newcastle Street, Strand from 1798-1830.
The Will of Walter Tweedie, late of Chelsea, was proved for probate on 15th May 1834 (National Archives reference PROB 11/1832/73).
