He was listed in trade directories as a clock and watchmaker and jeweller at 22 St Martin’s le Grand in 1779 and at 40 Strand from 1780-86.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Salisbury Street, Strand from 1807-19.
His burial in 1819 aged 78 years, late of Islington, was registered at St Martin in the Fields.
Page 319 of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World records he was a freeman of the Clockmakers Company from 1781-1819.
The Will of Robert Twyford, late watch maker of Islington, was granted probate on 23rd March 1820 (National Archives reference PROB 11/1627/195).
