TUCKWELL, Joseph (Grimwade p.685)

Post by MCB »

Last mentioned by Grimwade as gaining Livery in 1726 he was listed as a silversmith in Moorfields among the freemen of the Merchant Taylors Company who failed to vote in the 1727 London Elections.
In 1750 as a silversmith from Moorfields he was again listed as a Merchant Taylor entitled vote.
The Will of Joseph Tuckwell, gentleman late of St Mary's parish, Islington, may be relevant. It was proved for probate on 6th July 1756 (National Archives reference PROB 11/824/47).
