TRENHOLME, William (Grimwade p.684)

Post by MCB »

He was christened in 1706 at East Harlsey, York, the son of William Trenholm. He was the brother of Jonathan Trenholm (Grimwade p.684).
Indentures were signed in 1721 for William, the son of William Trenholm, late of Halson (sic), York to be the apprentice of John Bailey of the Clockmakers Company. He was made free in 1729.
Page 317 of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World lists William Trenholme as free of the Clockmakers Company from 1728-35 although Land Tax assessments from 1752-60 on a William Trenholme for property in Little Britain may also be relevant.
