In 1711 John, the son of John Rhodes of the Blacksmiths Company, signed indentures to be his apprentice.
He was assessed to Land Tax on unidentified property in All Hallows, Honey Lane precinct from 1717-19 and on unidentified property in St Alban, Wood Street parish from 1720-32. Thomas Eales, who had signed indentures in 1726 to be his apprentice, became the new tenant of this property in 1733.

Daniel Skinner was almost certainly, like his former master, Maurice Boheme , a silver bucklemaker .
John Alcock, (Grimwade p. 40) who was apprenticed to him 12 September 1717 also became a silver bucklemaker and in turn took Henry Bickerton , brother of Benjamin Bickerton , as an apprentice.
