SIMPSON, Lancelot (Grimwade p.659)

Post by MCB »

He was christened at St Andrew, Holborn in 1749, the son of George and Arabella Simpson of Theobalds Row.
He entered his only mark at Goldsmiths' Hall in 1769 as a small worker from Great Turnstile, Holborn.
He married Sarah Culvener at St James, Clerkenwell in 1773; both were from that parish.
The Will of Lancelot Simpson, goldsmith late of St Giles in the Fields parish, was proved for probate in London in 1813. The sole beneficiary was his wife Sarah.
