He married Lucy Whitfield at St Gregory by St Paul’s in 1788; they were both from that parish.
Their daughter Lucy Sarah was christened at St Botolph, Aldersgate in 1791 when their address was 125 Minories.
Their sons William Henry in 1795 and Hadarezer Whitfield in 1799 were christened at St Margaret Pattens.
Indentures were signed in 1810 for his son William Henry (Grimwade p.655) and in 1814 for his son Haderezer to be the apprentices of Samuel Wheatley (Grimwade p.697-8). Their father was recorded as a watchmaker at Fish Street Hill. He entered a mark at Goldsmiths’ Hall from that address in 1821.
He was assessed to Land Tax there from 1811-23. The assessment was in the name of Joseph Sharp & Son from 1824. In 1832 the property became a part of Lower Thames Street where assessments continued until 1835.
