RAINBOW, Stephen (Grimwade p.637)

Post by MCB »

Stephen, the son of Stephen and Ann Rainbow of Old Bailey, was christened at St Sepulchre, Holborn in 1735 and their daughter Mary christened at St Martin, Ludgate in 1737.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Elliott’s Court, Newgate from 1735-7, on unidentified property in St Martin’s parish, Ludgate from 1738-40, in Green’s Rents near Fleet Street in 1741 and in Dean Street from 1743-45. This property was empty in 1746.
No later information has been found for him. The end of the Rainbow remains as elusive as ever.
