PRITCHARD, Joseph and Sarah (Grimwade p.633-4)

Post by MCB »

Rosetta Anne, the daughter of Joseph Pritchard a silversmith from Shaftesbury Place and his wife Sarah, was christened at St Giles, Cripplegate in 1822.
Harriet, the daughter of Joseph Pritchard a silver knife maker of Battle Bridge and his wife Sarah, was christened at St Andrew, Holborn in 1823.
The records confirm Grimwade’s assumption that Sarah was Joseph’s widow and that he was a knife maker as was shown on her entry of a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1831.
A widow Sarah Pritchard married Charles Thompson at Christ Church, Newgate in 1832.
