POCOCK, Edward (Grimwade p.628, 764)

Post by MCB »

The apprenticeship of John Weston, which Grimwade mentions, began in 1735.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Foster Lane near to Goldsmiths’ Hall until 1738. The 1739 assessment was on a new tenant.
The burial of an Edward Pocock recorded in 1738 at nearby St Bartholomew the Great provides no detail of age or last address but may be relevant.
