PENN, Thomas (Grimwade p.618)

Post by MCB »

Grimwade’s reported absence of his name from the lists of freemen of the Weavers Company was caused by the search not proceeding further than 1728.
Thomas, the son of William Penn of Wycombe, signed indentures to be the apprentice of (Michaell?) Russell of the Weavers Company in 1716 and was made free in 1724.
Thomas Penn was listed at Lombard Street as a freeman of the Weavers Company in the London Poll Book of 1727 and at Spring Gardens in the Poll Books of 1750 and 1768.
