He may have been the John Mulford mentioned on page 227 of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World and noted as free in the Clockmakers Company from 1716-29.
Abel Browne of Hendon was his apprentice from 1717 and William Howes (Grimwade p.553) his apprentice from 1721.
His son John Mulford was in the Clockmakers Company from 1735 and his grandson John Mulford in the same Company from 1748.
