BURCOMBE, Richard (Grimwade p.454)

Post by MCB »

He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Wine Office Court from 1724-27. He had entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall from this address on gaining his freedom of the City in 1724. A new tenant was assessed on the property in 1728.
A document of May 1737 dealing with the application by Thomas Sarson (Grimwade p.651) for Freedom of the City recorded that Richard Burcomb of the Leathersellers Company took over his apprenticeship in 1734 from Basill Denn (Grimwade p.489, first name Basile) of the Goldsmiths Company. The document recorded Burcomb’s business as failing in April 1736.
