William Homer (Grimwade p.550), the son of Andrew, a coalman from St Andrew, Holborn, signed indentures on 5th July 1736 to be the apprentice of George Hindmarsh of the Musicians Company. Hindmarsh had become free by redemption in that Company on 4th May 1736.
There is evidence in the 1750 Poll Book that, despite his bankruptcy in 1746, George Hindmarsh remained at the Strand address where he is listed as entitled to vote by reason of his being in the Musicians Company.
He is similarly listed in the 1768 Poll Book at an address in Paddington.
