He was born in Sweden around 1777.
He married Mary Anne Cazlay at St George the Martyr, Southwark in 1805; both were from that parish.
He paid Duty in 1808 as a chaser from Greenwich Road for the apprentice indentures of John Fitch.
He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1823 as a plateworker from 28 Elliott’s Row, Prospect Place, Southwark.
The London Electoral Register for 1832 showed his address as Rahere Street, (Clerkenwell).
In 1841 the UK Census listed him as a chaser aged 64 years living at Rose Street, St Luke’s parish, Finsbury.
His wife’s burial aged 66 years, late of Normans Buildings, was recorded at St Luke’s in 1845.
He was listed as a silversmith at Norman Street, St Luke’s in 1851 and his death was registered from there in 1856.
