HOWARD, William (Grimwade p.552)

Post by dognose »

On Wednesday evening last, as Mr Jobson, of Newbury, Berks. and his wife, were returning from Hampstead, they were robbed by three footpads near Pancras of 12l. They took likewise his watch, and Mrs Jobson's capuchin, and then made off.

The same evening Mr Howard, watch-case-maker of Clerkenwell Green, in company with another gentleman, were robbed near Pancras, as it is supposed by the same villians, of their money and their silver buckles, who beat them and used them very ill; several other robberies were committed the same evening.
