John Cragg of St Bartholomew the Great parish signed a bond in 1730 to marry Jane Furnish.
Their son Thomas was christened at St Bartholomew’s in 1734.
He was assessed to Land Tax on unidentified property in St Bartholomew’s parish from 1731-41 and on property in Evan’s Rents, St Botolph parish from 1742-47. The assessment book for 1748 has not been found.
The assessment book for property in Virginia Court, East Smithfield in 1749 shows “empty -late John Cragg” indicating he had either ceased trading there or died.
No later information has been found for him.
