COMPIGNE, Michael (Grimwade p.465)

Michael Compigne Goldsmith aged twenty-six years married Louisa Magdalen Turquand at St Anne and St Agnes in 1740. She was from Christ Church, Newgate Street parish and he from St Giles in the Fields parish.
Michael, the son of Michael Compigne, goldsmith of St Bride’s, was apprenticed to James Hebdet of the Lorimers Company in 1765.
His burial aged 75 years in 1788, late of St Andrew’s parish, was recorded at Whitefield’s Memorial Church, Camden.

15 October 1704 Michel son of Michel Compigne of Duke Street Artillery Ground Tower Hamlet clockmaker and watchmaker baptism recorded at Chapel of the Hospital, Spitalfields.

11 August 1737 Michael Compigne of Saint Martin's Field Silver Smith paid apprentice indenture duty for Will son of Captain John White of Newbury.
