CHARTIER, Daniel (Grimwade p.462)

Post by MCB »

He was christened in 1705 at St Martin in the Fields, the son of John and Susanna.
He appears in the 1749 Poll Book at Heming Row from where he was recorded in 1740 entering his mark at Goldsmiths Hall.
John, the son of Daniel Chartier, goldsmith of St Martin in the Fields was apprenticed to Richard Adney of the Barbers Company in 1754. The £25 premium was paid by his uncle Francis Perigal which may suggest his father had died but no record of this has been found.
