CARPENDER, John (Grimwade p.459)

Post by MCB »

He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1727 as a small worker from Snow Hill and continued to be assessed to Land Tax there until 1756. The new tenant of the property was John Raymond who may be the silversmith identified by Grimwade on page 638.
He may be identified with John Carpender, late of Ditch Side, who was buried at St Andrew, Holborn in 1756.
