BROME, George (Grimwade p.450)

Post by MCB »

Aged 23 years in 1725 he signed a bond to marry Ann Andrews of Kent at St Mary, Abchurch.
Their son George was christened at St Andrew, Holborn in 1727; their address was Fetter Lane from where George senior had entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1726.
The burial of a George Brome was recorded at St Andrew’s in 1734 and appears to relate to the father as his son, by consent of his aunt among others, was apprenticed in 1742 from Christ’s Hospital to a merchant named Stephen Adye from St Christopher’s parish.
